St Mary's is one of three parish churches in Beverley and originates in
the twelfth century. The photograph above is of the chancel. On either
side of the cancel are the misericords with a good selection of
carvings on them. Below are a few of those carvings with a green man
motif. The top three photographs are of other green man carvings in the
church, the first is on the rood screen, the other two are on the door
arch.
