| The chancel arch of this church bears some interesting carvings but
unfortunately they are whitewashed over. Some of the detail is
discernible but much is left to guesswork. It is believed that one of
the figures is a sheela-na-gig (shown first) and another is an anguipede
(shown second). There are also a couple of green man type carvings
(shown third and fourth). |
