This pleasant looking church stands on the main road through the
village. It was locked when I visited though there was details of how
to obtain access but I didn't have time.
Looking around the outside I found a green man carving on the outside window. I intend to return to view the interior soon.
Having
returned I found a nice stone church with a few carvings of interest.
There is a collection of corbels and capitals lodged in the walls at
various places. Many of the corbels have a beakhead design though of
several variations.
A good piscina exists halfwaydown the
south wall. The church is the product of changes over many centuries
and has only recently been dedicated to St Nicholas, hence the lack of
images of that saint.
