This is a neolithic burial chamber of the Severn Cotswold
cairn type and sits high in the hills with a fine view over Snowdonia. The
line of stones in the top photo indicate where the stone edge of the
tomb would have been. The indentation at the right of the top picture
is a 'false portal', the real entrance to the tomb is to the left and
can be seen left centre of the bottom photo.
Inside the structure is a rectangular area off which lead two circular
tombs, the eastern one is seen clearly in the second photo whilst the
western one has a capstone in place
