This is a D-shaped enclosure formed by a deep ditch with the straight side being the edge of a cliff. It overlooks Luce Bay and was believed to be a settlement in the Bronze Age though remains unexcavated. The photograph shows the depth of the ditch, the settlement is to the left of the shot.

With good land for farming behind it and the sea for fishing in front it sits ideally on top of an impenetrable cliff face.
