Woman's new appeal over hovering UFOs
|
Strange lights were reported to have been seen above a village in the Scarborough area.
The lights hovered for a time and then flew off towards the sea at
great speed one evening last week - following reports of similar
sightings reported in the Evening News.
A woman who saw the lights between Sleights, a village near Whitby, and
Robin Hood's Bay believes they were not those of a plane or helicopter.
The woman, who does not want to be named, said: "My son saw them first and called me to the window.
"It was just after 7 pm and we could see two very bright lights in the sky moving closely together.
After a few minutes they sped off in the direction of Robin Hood's Bay."
When her sighting of three similar bright lights was reported in the
Evening News in August several more people in the area said they too
had seen them.
The woman is appealing for more witnesses from other parts of the area to come forward.
In August the lights were seen flying near Fylingdales ballistic
missile early warning base before heading over the moors to Guisborough.
She says there were several other witnesses in Sleights who saw the recent lights.
She added: "A group of people were playing football in the village and they saw the lights.
"Most of them probably dismissed them as nothing but one man says he can't explain what he saw."
