I don't have any photographs of the external view of this church at present.
The first carving is thought to be a sheela-na-gig but its location high on the south wall of Torksey church and its liberal covering with paint make it hard to decide.
Written information in the church barely mentions it except to say it was found in the ruins of an older building and incorporated into the church.
It appears to have its arms pointing towards the groin area or perhaps holding something, but other than that it is difficult to make out. The left upper arm appears to be missing. You can just make out some facial features too.
The photograph was taken with a 300 mm lens on a tripod with flash and then tweaked in Photoshop to improve balance and contrast.
The second photograph is of a mouth-pulling head on the external south wall of the church tower. He is not mentioned in any literature I found in the church.
