Weaverthorpe

Sitting atop a hill to the north of the village this church has extensive views all round. According to the map there is a site of an old church in the field to the south.

Unfortunately the church was locked when I visited and I didn't have time to locate the key.

It has an interesting round towerlet on the side of the main tower and in the porch there is a fragment of an old cross (re-used fronm the original church to the south?) and a mass dial.
