Wharram Percy is a deserted medieval village in the Wolds. Little remains as far as structures are concerned but the outlines of long houses and various other buildings can be seen as humps and bumps in the grass. The church is now in ruins though it was used for many years after the village was abandoned. The structure that can be seen now is mostly 17th century though a church probably sat in this site from the 10th century.
The village pond still exists as can be seen from one of the photographs below. The church is supposed to have a green man on the tower but despite photographing all remaining sides I was unable to identify one. A sample of the heads still extant is shown below.
