A well at the side of the low road from Harpham to Burton Agnes. Dedicated to St John, who was born in the village, but probably pre-dates him.

Said never to run dry, have curative properties, and is able to tame or subdue wild or ferocious beasts.

It is decorated on the Tuesday nearest the 7th of May each year.
