The church as seen today is only a small part of what was a Gilbertine Priory dating from the 12th century. Little remains of the rest of the original buildings though some ruins still exist around the church.
Inside I was searching for two green men, one on a misericord and the other above the altar. I found both though the second was too distant to photograph with the equipment I had with me.
However, on the misericords I found some excellent figures ranging from dragons to rabbits. The ones of real interest to me apart from the green man were a face-puller, a clothed exhibitionist and an acrobat - these are all shown below.

On a subsequent visit I had a better lens and the green man above the altar is now also shown below.
