Earliest ancestor This is my earliest ancestor so far in this family, census reports say he was born in Ireland but so far I don't know where. Have you any information on him or his wife Mary? Mary's surname is given as Marne but could also be Moran or Morran. To complicate matters further in some sources she is referred to as Bridget.
It is likely they originate in County Clare but I have no real evidence for this.
