Chambered Tomb
SH 50774 70190

This is a well known and much visited burial chamber. It has had many interpretations and investigations, several queries still remain.

At the rear of the mound stands a cast of a stone originally discovered inside, it is intricately carved.

Within the tomb stands a tall pillar whose purpose is unknown but it looms out of the darkness like a guardian spirit.

I apologise for the poor quality of these shots, they all came out very dark and had to be rescued in Photoshop.
