The photographs below are a collection of crosses found built into the
walls of Sinnington church. They have been reused as the remains of
previous buildings. Unfortunately many are becoming weathered and the
detail is less distinct than they once were.
The first two are found near each other on the external south wall.
The third is the external view of the in-filled west door.
The fourth is the internal west door area.
The fifth is located in the north window of the chancel.
There
are other fragments of crosses in the external walls of the church and
there is also a fragment of a hogback tomb built into the north wall,
despite the church leaflet declaring this can no longer be found.
