Salton Sulphur Well |

This small neglected well lies alongside the road under the churchyard boundary wall opposite the village green.
As can be seen it is small and full of decaying leaves and other rubbish. There is still a good flow of water and the smell of sulphur is evident from several feet away. The well is reputed to have good healing and restorative properties and is said to have been used until quite recently by local folk.
